During the winter months, guests at Gstaad Palace can embark on an experience ‘Between Heaven and Earth’ overlooking Switzerland’s Saanenland region.
Take off with an experienced Air-Glacier pilot from the nearby airfield at Saanen. The 80-minute ride will take you along heavenly landscapes past snow-capped alpine peaks across the five valleys of the Saanenland region – this is said to be the place were God rested after completing his work. The journey continues through Zermatt to circle around the imposing Matterhorn for a unique photographic opportunity. From here, you will head to Glacier 3000 for a stopover at approximately 3,000 meter above sea level. A champagne aperitif will be served at the edge of the vertical cliff of the Diablerets massif for guests to enjoy the scenery before proceeding to lunch. Lunch takes place at the Refuge l’Espace, which serves local specialties. The lodge with its panoramic terrace overlooking Glacier 3000 is considered most spectacular high-altitude lounge of the Alps. After an hour or two of relaxation, guests fly back for another picturesque helicopter ride across this magnificent landscape including a bird’s eye view of Gstaad Palace.
